Oqium is a multipurpose lifestyle and sneaker multi-brand store with its roots in the sneaker, fashion, basketball and hip-hop culture based in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Oqium is more than a multi-brand store engaging and educating a whole subculture. It is a place where creativity can flow, a hub for the community, and a place where the Oqium community comes to life. Oqium needed a complete revamp of their old Shopify theme due to web design, performance, and maintenance issues and limitations to express themselves, merchandise their wide assortment and highlight their product releases. Their old site did not simply reflect their true brand potential. Oqium were ready to take their next step in scaling up their global ecommerce business and expand the Oqium brand universe.
Idea
Our mission was to redesign the site and revamp their tech stack and build a new store concept using our Panagora starter-theme as foundation based on Online store 2.0 and Shopify markets and deliver a distinct and highly performing retail experience. Our idea was to redesign the whole site with new ecommerce solutions and a new tech stack. Oqium had several brand requirements on content and product releases that required client specific solutions. We used our optimized Panagora starter-theme for a superior fluid responsive solution, navigation, speed, and effortless shopping experience as the foundation. Our R&D project starter-theme boosts sales, site performance, SEO, accessibility, and best practice but allows unique client specific solutions, customizations and brand expressions. We also enabled our strategic partners to build a strong tech stack deeply integrated. On top of that we added the distinguished Oqium branding and content layer with several details and client specific solutions.
