Data collected and handled under this policy will not be shared with any other services offered by Panagora without your explicit consent.
We process your personal data because you are a participant of an online raffle that we operate for merchants on the Shopify platform as an App. The processing takes place in accordance with applicable regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), and as described further below. Besides ensuring that our processing of your personal data is correct and transparent in relation to you, we always endeavor to maintain a high level of security in all processing of personal data where we continuously assess and take into account both technical and organizational risks in order to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, change and deletion.
01. Data processing
Why we process (purpose)
We process your data in order to provide a service for Shopify merchants called the "Panagora Raffle App". The App is an online raffle system that allows merchants to collect sign-ups, draw winners and allow them to purchase items.How we process
We collect and process your email address to facilitate troubleshooting (e.g., resolving merchant and user queries) and protect the integrity of the system, including fraud prevention, system audits, and other safeguards. We process (but do not store) order data to validate sign-ups, prevent fraudulent activity, and maintain system performance and prevent disruptions. Additionally, we collect anonymous app usage data, such as performance metrics and feature usage patterns, to improve functionality and assist with troubleshooting.Legal basis
We process your email address based on the necessity of fulfilling our obligations to merchants using the App. We weigh your privacy rights against our legitimate interest in providing the necessary services for the App to function, including managing entries and assisting merchants in troubleshooting. We conclude that our processing is essential for fulfilling our contractual obligations to the merchant. Additionally, certain legal obligations, such as maintaining accurate records of raffle winners, may also apply depending on jurisdiction.Collection and distribution
The data we have about you is primarily collected from you. We share the data solely with the merchant for the purpose of the processing, and within the framework of the purposes indicated above.Retention and storage of data
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, in line with the legal basis and obligations for operating the App. Specifically, we retain your data for 60 days after the raffle is marked as completed by the merchant. This retention period ensures we meet contractual obligations, address any potential disputes, and support post-raffle audits. After this period, all personal data will be securely deleted by automated processes. Data is stored and processed in the AWS eu-west-1 region (located in Ireland), ensuring compliance with European data protection laws.02. Your rights
If you wish to access, correct, or request the deletion of your data, please contact us at [email protected]. Note that, in accordance with Shopify's policies, we erase all personal information upon app uninstallation. Additionally, data is purged 60 days after the raffle is marked as completed by the merchant, which may make certain requests obsolete.
You are also entitled at any time to submit complaints to the applicable supervisory authority (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) if you consider that your personal data is not being processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
